People's Daily Online IslamabadMay17, (Reporter Zhao Yipu) According to an announcement from the Pakistani Prime Minister's Office, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbazon the 15thmet with a delegation of11members from Beijing Guolian Video Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as“IBI”) visiting Pakistan at the Prime Minister's Office in Islamabad, the capital. Shehbaz stated that IBI will promote digital economy cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises and drive Pakistan's digital transformation.

During the talks with the IBI delegation, Shehbaz stated that China has achieved significant accomplishments in various fields, and Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic partners with traditional friendship.

On May13,the IBI's Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters was inaugurated in Islamabad. Shehbaz expressed appreciation for this and encouraged Chinese enterprises represented by IBI to expand their investment in Pakistan.“The deep cooperation between IBI and Pakistani enterprises will help Pakistan achieve digital transformation faster and further promote investment facilitation in Pakistan. The cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises is encouraging.”Shehbaz said.

IBI CEO Qian Xiaojun stated during the talks that IBI is confident in Pakistan's economy and hopes to help Pakistan build a more scalable digital network to promote the development of Pakistan's digital economy.“IBI's Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters will open the door for Pakistani SMEs to the Chinese market, creating more opportunities for Pakistan.”Qian Xiaojun said.
