People’s Daily Overseas Edition: Deepening the China–Pakistan All-Weather Partnership and Injecting Industrial Momentum into the High-Quality Development of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor

Recently, a high-level delegation from Pakistan visited the IBI Digital Economy Headquarters, attended the China–Pakistan Business Forum, and delivered keynote remarks. During the event, the “Forefront Sailing” Overseas Service Liaison Station (Pakistan Station) of Fengtai Science Park was officially inaugurated.

Qian Xiaojun, Founder and CEO of IBI, and Liu Zhai, Director and Senior Vice President of IBI, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit and exchanges.

The event injected new industrial momentum into the deepening of the China–Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the high-quality development of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, with bilateral practical cooperation continuing to deepen and deliver tangible results.

From May 8 to 14, an IBI delegation visited Pakistan for extensive exchanges and cooperation discussions and was warmly received by H.E. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

On May 13, the IBI Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters was officially inaugurated in Islamabad. H.E. Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, attended the launch ceremony and delivered remarks, highly commending the project as a transformative milestone in the China–Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.

He noted that the initiative marks a transition from traditional infrastructure cooperation to digital infrastructure cooperation and the joint development of a Digital Silk Road, opening a new chapter in China–Pakistan digital economy collaboration.

The establishment of the IBI Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters represents a concrete step toward aligning with the strategic priorities of both countries and advancing industrial digitalization under the CPEC 2.0 framework. It further demonstrates the growing role of digital economy cooperation in promoting industrial connectivity, investment facilitation, and sustainable development between China and Pakistan.
