On May 5th, the fourth session of the closed-door seminar series titled "Industry Inquiry – New Trends in Metaverse and AIGC Industry Development," jointly hosted by the Metaverse Thirty-Person Forum and IBI (stock code: 603613.SH), was successfully held in Beijing. The event brought together over 30 experts, technology leaders, entrepreneurs, and other distinguished guests from the metaverse sector at the IBI Digital Economy Headquarters to discuss technology industry trends. They shared ideas on the development of the metaverse industry and cutting-edge AI solutions, co-created a new future for the digital economy, and empowered its high-quality development. As the host, IBI warmly welcomed the attendees. IBI Chairman Liu Quan, IBI Senior Vice President/Board Secretary Pan Yong, and IBI Technical Director Zhang Meifu attended the meeting, with Pan Yong giving a keynote speech.

Before the meeting, the attendees visited the IBI Digital Economy Headquarters and the Guolian Cloud Digital Experience Pavilion to gain a systematic understanding of the company's development trajectory, operational model, and value philosophy. Subsequently, the meeting was chaired by Xu Yuanlong, Secretary-General of the Metaverse Thirty-Person Forum, where the guests freely expressed their views and offered suggestions to promote the development of the metaverse, AIGC industries, and the globalization of the digital economy.

During the meeting, IBI Chairman Liu Quan warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests on behalf of the company and gave an introduction to the company’s development history, strategic direction, and its arrangements in the areas of the metaverse and AI. He stated: "IBI primarily operates as a B2B e-commerce and industrial internet platform, based on industrial e-commerce and supported by big data, striving for a deep integration of new technologies such as internet, IoT, big data, cloud computing, and AI with traditional industries. This enables traditional industries to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The core of the company’s industrial internet strategy lies in 'platform services, technology-driven innovation, and data support,' building a new vertical industrial internet ecosystem through these three elements. The industrial internet, rooted in digital technology, delves into the industrial chain, supply chain, and value chain. It is also a vital pathway to industry digitalization and integrates deeply with the metaverse. IBI places high importance on the deep application of metaverse and AI technologies in the supply and industrial chains in the future, and it has independently developed an industrial metaverse project based on technologies such as digital twins and blockchain. He believes that the deep integration of the metaverse and AI technologies with the real economy will bring greater value, and hopes to exchange ideas and cooperate with the guests in related fields."

The meeting featured keynote speeches and in-depth discussions addressing the current state of the integration of AI's new technological directions with the metaverse, focusing on related application scenarios and solutions.

Pan Yong, Senior Vice President/Board Secretary of IBI, delivered a speech titled "IBI’s Digital Practices and Reflections," introducing the company’s digitalization and intelligent practices as an industrial internet platform and some exploratory efforts in the direction of the industrial metaverse.

He stated that as a B2B e-commerce and industrial internet platform, the core of the company’s industrial internet strategy is 'platform services, technology-driven innovation, and data support,' constructing a new vertical industrial internet ecosystem through platforms, technology, and data. The technology strategy, in particular, is the key supporting strategy. Industrial digitalization has always been a challenging issue, especially for small to medium-sized enterprises during the digitalization process. The industrial internet, with its advantages in compound knowledge structures, large-scale promotion capabilities, and effective profit models, can effectively drive the digitalization of enterprises. Regarding future industrial chain layouts, the company will focus on connectivity within an open ecosystem, integration across industrial chains, and uninterrupted communication and connection of the four flows, achieving interconnectivity across industrial chain segments.

He emphasized that digitalization is not the endpoint but the starting point, with big data as the next step beyond digitalization. Considering policies at the national level, diversified local layouts, and demands for data, he expressed that AI technology is one of the important means to optimize production efficiency and innovate business models. For the industrial metaverse, based on ongoing research into its applications, he referred to it as an extension and enhancement of digital simulation and intelligence. He shared that over the past few years, IBI has conducted substantial research and applications in the field of AI. Based on AI utilization and planning, he revealed that the company has fully integrated ChatGPT internally; launched an intelligent development platform (qkCode platform) using the ChatGPT engine; developed an industrial metaverse project named Yuanqi; and explored data models and comprehensive AI applications.

Regarding the industrial metaverse, he noted that the direction for metaverse entry lies in the digital upgrade of industrial and supply chains. This approach serves as an excellent entry point, as it can reduce entry costs, accelerate user understanding and awareness of digitalization, create digital twins for production, warehousing, and logistics, conduct in-depth model training in virtual environments, and build scenarios in areas such as academic collaboration and training. Overall, it enhances the digitalization experience of enterprise users across the entire industrial chain.

He expressed that the strategy for promoting the layout of the industrial metaverse should be gradual and step-by-step to produce clear benefits over time. He further highlighted that the future development of metaverse and AI technologies will undoubtedly impact industries and enterprises comprehensively, influencing every aspect of enterprise production and management. This impact could be revolutionary.

The meeting concluded successfully in an atmosphere of proactive, candid, and enthusiastic exchange. All parties engaged in honest discussions, addressed pain points head-on, and collaborated on solutions, leaving the gathering with valuable insights and fruitful results.
