This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, coinciding with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor entering a new phase of high-quality development, CPEC 2.0. On May 13, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated at a Chinese enterprise event in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, that the friendship and all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan have stood the test of time, with deep foundations, and China and Pakistan are currently entering a new phase of digital economic cooperation.
On the morning of the same day, the IBI Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters of Beijing Guolian Video Information Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "IBI") was officially unveiled and launched in Islamabad. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar attended the event and delivered an important speech. Officials from the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, heads of various Pakistani ministries, and representatives from over 200 key enterprises from China and Pakistan gathered together to witness this milestone moment in China-Pakistan digital economic cooperation.

Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, stated that the stable, healthy, and positive development of IBI is a bridge and link for close ties between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises, deeply cultivating China-Pakistan digital industry cooperation, and transforming relevant diplomatic achievements into tangible industrial cooperation results.
"The mature domestic industrial chain, supply chain advantages, and digital operation capabilities are highly compatible with Pakistan's urgent need for industrial upgrading and digital transformation," said IBI founder and president Qian Xiaojun. Pakistan is a strategic pivot for enterprises to deeply cultivate the "Belt and Road" market. The newly launched IBI Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters will provide one-stop services for cross-border transactions, intelligent logistics, and digital supply chain construction for enterprises from both countries, while building a China-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce exchange platform to fully empower the co-construction and win-win development of the industrial ecosystem of both countries.
Currently, China and Pakistan are relying on the "Action Plan for Building a New Era of Closer China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future (2025-2029)" to fully promote the construction of the digital Silk Road and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor 2.0. It is reported that more than 110 cooperation agreements were signed during this event, and the vigorous trend of deep integration and coordinated development of China's high-quality capacity, digital technology, and Pakistan's local industries is continuously injecting digital momentum and industrial vitality into the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan in the new era.
