On the afternoon of December 14, the launch ceremony to accelerate the "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pilot zone in Pudong New Area was held at the Shanghai Tower. Shanghai Municipal Committee Member and Pudong New Area Party Secretary Zhu Zhisong, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Deputy Secretary of the Pudong New Area Party Committee, and Acting Head of the District Wu Jincheng, Second Inspector of the E-commerce Department of the Ministry of Commerce Chen Yiwei, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce Zhu Min, Deputy Director of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Administrative Committee, and Director of the Bonded Area Administration Zhang Xi, along with leaders from Alibaba International Digital Group, Pinduoduo, JD, and IBI, attended the event to jointly inaugurate the central functional area of the "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pilot zone.

"Silk Road E-commerce" is a significant measure for China to deepen the shared construction and development of the "Belt and Road Initiative," as well as a major opportunity for Shanghai to enhance the capabilities of its "Five Centers." On October 17, the State Council approved the establishment of a "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pioneer zone in Shanghai and specified the creation of a central functional area within the special customs supervision zone of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. This is another important task assigned to Shanghai Pudong by the nation. Pudong is actively implementing this directive, fully leveraging its advantages in institutional innovation, industry aggregation, and comprehensive services to build a high-quality central functional area. It aims to establish the "Four Zones and One Hub" for "Silk Road E-commerce," namely: the International E-commerce Rules Practice Zone, the International Trade Innovation Zone, the Comprehensive Service Demonstration Zone, the International Talent Aggregation Zone, and a Bi-directional Investment Bridgehead.

The event released the "Action Plan for Advancing the Construction of the 'Silk Road E-commerce' Cooperation Pilot Zone in Pudong New Area"; held the inauguration ceremony for the Overseas Warehouse Service Alliance, the Cooperation Training Center, and the Financial Comprehensive Service Station plaque awarding ceremony; Pudong New Area signed a cooperation agreement with key partners and the China International Electronic Commerce Center; officially launched the 'Silk Road E-commerce' Cooperation Pilot Zone portal website; held the launch ceremony for the 'Silk Road E-commerce' Cooperation Pilot Zone in Pudong New Area.

IBI and Alibaba International Digital Group, Pinduoduo, JD.com, along with 8 major platforms, signed a partnership agreement with the Pudong New Area Commerce Commission and the Shanghai Free Trade Zone Bonded Area Management Bureau for the construction of the "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pilot zone, jointly supporting the high-quality advancement of the "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pilot zone in Pudong New Area.

IBI, based on the industrial advantages of the Duoduo e-commerce platform and the resource advantages of countries along the Belt and Road, has actively expanded cross-border business along the Belt and Road in recent years. Currently, it has undertaken cross-border layout and expansion in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, and other relevant countries and regions. In November this year, IBI signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shangang Overseas Group and Abu Dhabi Ports Group to actively create a new model of "industrial belt + cross-border e-commerce."

As a construction partner of the "Silk Road E-commerce Cooperation Pilot Zone" in Pudong New Area, the company will further strengthen its strategic efforts in "industrial belt + cross-border e-commerce," collaborate with industry chain enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency through cross-border platforms, achieve effective coordination between two markets, and contribute to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
