Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, People's Bank of China, State Administration for Market Regulation, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing jointly organized expert reviews and identified the first batch of 10 demonstration cities and 100 demonstration enterprises for supply chain innovation and application. IBI was successfully selected as a national demonstration enterprise for supply chain innovation and application.

    The establishment of national supply chain innovation and application demonstration is part of implementing the "Guiding Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Actively Promoting Supply Chain Innovation and Application" (State Council General Office document [2017] No. 84). It fulfills the requirements of the "Notice from the Ministry of Commerce and Seven Other Departments on Launching Supply Chain Innovation and Application Pilot Work" (Commerce Development Letter [2018] No. 142). The goal is to achieve new progress in cultivating supply chain advantages, improving supply chain efficiency and effectiveness, enhancing supply chain safety and stability, boosting supply chain resilience, and elevating supply chain governance capabilities. In core areas concerning national economic security and stability, the aim is to cultivate a batch of core enterprises and single champions in professional fields, significantly enhancing the control and assurance capabilities of key industry supply chains and securing their global position.

    As a leading B2B e-commerce and industrial internet platform, IBI leverages industrial internet big data to promote the expansion and extension of industrial and supply chains, enabling the upgrade from traditional push-based supply chain systems to collaborative innovation-driven pull-based supply chain systems. IBI will apply modern supply chain management thinking and methods to enhance supply chain management levels, accelerate the integration and application of new supply chain technologies such as IoT, big data, edge computing, blockchain, 5G, and artificial intelligence, and drive the rapid digital development of supply chains. Based on industrial e-commerce and industrial internet platforms, IBI will focus on integrating, transforming, and upgrading traditional industries. It will target sectors like coatings and chemicals, hygiene products, glass, industrial paper, grains and oils, and fertilizers, expanding specialized supply chain services, strengthening supply chain risk prevention, and facilitating the collaborative, standardized, digital, eco-friendly, and globalized development of China’s supply chains.
