On January 14, the delegation first visited Sri Lanka's diversified leading enterprise DIMO PLC and held a special strategic cooperation meeting with Group Chairman Ranjith Pandithage, CFO Suresh Gooneratne, Water Treatment Sector Head Chaminda Ranawana, and Agriculture Sector Head Priyanga Dematawa. Both parties, based on their respective industrial advantages, exchanged in-depth opinions on key areas such as the promotion of agricultural mechanization, the assurance of high-quality agricultural supply chains, and the expansion of cross-border agricultural trade, reaching multiple strategic consensuses and signing a strategic cooperation agreement on-site, officially opening a new chapter of comprehensive collaborative cooperation.

Visit to Premium International Company Opening New Channel for Two-way Trade of Agricultural Products between China and Sri Lanka
On the same day, the FDD delegation visited Premium International Company, focusing on core topics such as the two-way circulation of specialty agricultural products, and conducted special negotiations with the company's head Prasantha Kularatna. Both parties, based on the complementary characteristics of the industries in China and Sri Lanka, clarified the two-way trade cooperation path of "going out and bringing in," effectively opening a new channel for China-Sri Lanka trade interconnection. On one hand, leveraging FDD's mature domestic sales network and full-chain supply chain system, high-quality specialty agricultural products such as Sri Lankan pepper, coconut water, and coconut oil will be introduced into the Chinese market, enriching domestic consumer categories and supply scenarios; on the other hand, promoting the precise docking of China's high-quality agricultural products and agricultural technology equipment with Sri Lanka's agricultural development needs, assisting in the upgrade of local agricultural capacity, achieving efficient bilateral resource interconnection and value sharing.
On January 15, the delegation conducted a field visit to the Hambantota China-Sri Lanka Industrial Park, thoroughly investigating the park's port storage facilities, logistics transportation network, and location radiation advantages, and held in-depth consultations with park officials on key topics such as cross-border logistics coordination, storage base construction, and integrated supply chain services. As an important carrier of pragmatic cooperation between China and Sri Lanka under the "Belt and Road" initiative, the Hambantota Industrial Park has unique logistics hub conditions and is a core node for opening up the South Asian regional supply chain and radiating surrounding markets.
The FDD team, combining its mature experience in cross-border supply chain operations, proposed constructive ideas for the integration of park logistics resources and supply chain digital management. The Minister clearly stated that he has received relevant instructions from the Presidential Palace and will fully coordinate government resources to comprehensively support deep cooperation between Chinese enterprises and Sri Lanka in the agricultural field, focusing on practical measures such as the introduction of agricultural supplies, promotion of agricultural technology, and the connection of agricultural product production and sales, using the power of government-enterprise collaboration to jointly promote the modernization process of Sri Lankan agriculture, fully demonstrating the high importance and firm determination of the Sri Lankan government in cooperating with FDD.
On the same day, the delegation was warmly received by the Sri Lankan Economic Development Bureau and Hon. Minister Sunil Handunneththi, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development. On January 19, the FDD team was invited to attend the 6th International Green Plant Protection Innovation Conference and China-Sri Lanka Agricultural Technology and Cultural Exchange Week. This event, hosted by the China Pesticide Association, is an important platform for China-Sri Lanka agricultural technology exchange and international cooperation. During the event, the FDD team engaged in deep exchanges with agricultural experts and enterprise representatives from around the world on green plant protection technology and sustainable agricultural supply application experience, precisely connecting international high-quality resources, further integrating into the international green agriculture cooperation network, sharing industry innovation achievements, while strengthening its international voice and influence in the field of green agriculture and sustainable agricultural supplies.
