CNAUTO: Empowering Automotive Global Expansion Through Digitalization

During the event, Xu Jian, Executive President of IBI’s CNAUTO platform, stated that amid profound transformations in the global automotive industry, China’s automotive sector is facing unprecedented opportunities for global expansion.

As a vertical “industrial cluster + cross-border e-commerce” platform focusing on automotive equipment, CNAUTO represents a key component of IBI’s third growth curve strategy.

The platform is committed to building an integrated “industry + industrial finance + ecosystem” model, leveraging digital technologies to reconstruct supply and value chains and achieve data sharing and process integration across nine critical operational nodes, including customs, taxation, foreign exchange, commerce, government services, ports, shipping, warehousing, and finance.

Guided by IBI’s “1750” strategic planone cross-border platform, seven overseas hubs, and fifty overseas warehouses—CNAUTO aims to develop a new model of cross-border productivity characterized by dual domestic and international circulation, coordinated online and offline operations, and integrated customs, taxation, foreign exchange, and commerce services, driving the transformation from industrial digitalization to digital industrialization.

CNAUTO places strong emphasis on Nanning as a key strategic location and will fully leverage its strengths in digitalization and industrial services to actively推进 the implementation of alliance cooperation projects, contributing to the coordinated global expansion of China’s automotive industry.

Nanning’s Unique Advantages Provide Strong Support for Automotive Export Growth

Nanning boasts significant advantages in location, policy support, cross-border connectivity, industrial foundations, and business environment, giving it substantial potential in the automotive export sector.

As the provincial capital city closest to ASEAN, Nanning has established a multimodal transportation network integrating road, rail, water, and air transport. It has achieved 12-hour factory-to-factory road connectivity with Vietnam’s Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, maintains stable operation of China–Vietnam cross-border express freight trains, and serves as a national distribution hub for rail freight exports to Vietnam through the Nanning International Railway Port.

Nanning Wuxu International Airport operates 15 international cargo routes connecting 17 cities in 10 ASEAN and South Asian countries.

By advancing both cross-border integration and maritime-oriented development, Nanning continues to strengthen key industries such as new energy, new energy vehicles, and advanced equipment manufacturing, accelerate the construction of a diversified and resilient automotive supply chain, and build a cooperation mechanism for China–ASEAN automotive industry exchanges.

These efforts position Nanning as a competitive hub for serving automotive enterprises in their global expansion.
