December 31, 2024

On December 25, at the Fengtai District 2024 “Two Zones” Construction Innovation Achievement Release Event, IBI’s Belt & Road B2B Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Development Service New Model was officially unveiled.

In September 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping announced at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) that Beijing would be supported in establishing a National Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Expanding Service Industry Opening and a Free Trade Pilot Zone, marking the formal launch of the “Two Zones” initiative. This year marks the fourth year of “Two Zones” construction. IBI actively responded to the policy call, expanding business domains and international cooperation, optimizing industrial structures, and its new cross-border business development service model was selected as an innovative achievement case for Beijing’s 2024 “Two Zones” construction.

During the release, Liu Junzhai, Director and Senior Vice President of IBI, shared the company’s experience in building a new collaborative system across the full B2B cross-border e-commerce industrial chain, exploring the development of industrial cluster cross-border “new-quality” productivity and its practical achievements.

Driving Cross-Border E-Commerce Innovation Along the Belt & Road

In recent years, IBI has followed the Belt & Road strategic direction, seizing the opportunity of “Two Zones” construction to expand the third growth curve of industrial cluster cross-border e-commerce, achieving sustained high-speed growth.

IBI focuses on the B2B cross-border e-commerce value chain of “production – procurement – sales – overseas distribution”, building:

  1. Procurement & Sales E-Commerce Platform: The first domestic platform integrating procurement and sales, supporting Chinese enterprises’ cross-border expansion in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Middle East, Europe, and Africa, linking global markets.
  2. Digital Supply Chain Platform: Managing logistics for cross-border B2B e-commerce import/export, reducing logistics and warehousing costs.
  3. Digital Cloud Factory Management Platform: Enabling factories in India, Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, etc., to achieve cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, meeting core operational needs.

Through these three interactive platforms, IBI helps manufacturers, trading enterprises, and logistics companies access international markets, expand the global trading ecosystem, and promote SMEs in industrial clusters to go abroad collectively, enhancing their international competitiveness.

Empowering Cross-Border Development with Platform, Technology, and Data

IBI deeply implements its “Platform, Technology, Data” industrial internet strategy:

  • Leveraging big data as a core support,
  • Driving innovation through industrial internet chain effects,
  • Expanding overseas cross-border e-commerce deployment, focusing on Belt & Road countries,
  • Utilizing its resource advantages to empower enterprises via the three platforms to enter international markets, reduce costs, and improve efficiency,
  • Gradually improving the overseas e-commerce node network and optimizing resource allocation,
  • Strengthening deep supply chain cooperation for high-efficiency coordination,
  • Advancing cross-border trade data monetization to achieve “digital strong trade”, contributing to high-quality development of the “Two Zones” initiative.
