Uzbekistan is located at the heart of Central Asia and serves as the region’s largest economic and trade center. The Jizzakh Region, situated in eastern Uzbekistan, features a relatively developed industrial sector covering building materials, mining machinery manufacturing, and other industries.
The region is rich in non-ferrous metal resources, including gold, tungsten, and molybdenum. In the building materials sector, local gypsum, limestone, and marble are used to produce various construction materials. The machinery manufacturing industry produces agricultural machinery and industrial equipment, supporting diversified industrial development.

Earlier, Shao Chunsheng visited Uzbekistan and met with Komilov Ibrokhimjon, Governor of Jizzakh Region, and Li Xiangchen, Chairman of the China–Uzbekistan Free Trade Special Zone. The governor expressed interest in establishing long-term cooperation with IBI.

“Uzbekistan, located at the center of Central Asia, is a key node on the Silk Road Economic Belt, connecting Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan, and serving as a gateway to Europe and the Middle East. In recent years, Uzbekistan has actively participated in the Belt and Road Initiative, investing in road, rail, and logistics infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for import trade. We hope to enhance cooperation with IBI, leverage respective resources and industry advantages, and jointly empower Uzbekistan’s industrial economy for high-speed development.”

Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and CEO of TDD, stated:
“Digital economy is the core driver of industrial innovation. As a leading B2B e-commerce and industrial internet platform, TDD actively integrates existing industrial value chains and coordinates regional resources to promote innovation across supply and industrial chains. This year, TDD has expanded the third growth curve of cross-border industrial e-commerce, achieving sustained high-speed growth. Uzbekistan has a strong industrial foundation and well-developed infrastructure, making it a key strategic region for TDD to deepen industrial digital economy initiatives. With the support and guidance of local policies, we hope to empower local industrial innovation and upgrading together.”
