On December 16, KOMILOV Ibrokhimjon, Governor of Khum District, Jizzakh Region, Uzbekistan, visited TDD, a core platform under IBI.

He was received by Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and CEO of TDD, and Shao Chunsheng, Vice President of TDD and General Manager of Cross-Border Industrial Operations. The delegation held in-depth discussions on digital supply chain services for industrial internet platforms, cross-border industrial cluster operations, and Belt & Road cooperation, among other preliminary collaboration intentions.

During the visit, Shao Chunsheng and Governor KOMILOV Ibrokhimjon jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote industrial development.

Jizzakh Region: A Central Hub in Central Asia

Uzbekistan is located at the heart of Central Asia, serving as the region’s largest economic and trade center. Jizzakh Region, situated in eastern Uzbekistan, has a relatively developed industrial sector covering building materials, mining, machinery manufacturing, light textile, and food industries.

  • Mining: Rich in non-ferrous metal resources such as gold, tungsten, and molybdenum.
  • Building Materials: Utilizes local gypsum, limestone, and marble to produce various construction materials.
  • Machinery Manufacturing: Produces agricultural machinery and industrial equipment.

Previously, Shao Chunsheng was invited to visit Uzbekistan and met with Governor KOMILOV Ibrokhimjon and Li Xiangchen, Chairman of the China–Uzbekistan Free Trade Special Zone. Governor KOMILOV expressed his desire to establish long-term cooperation with IBI. On December 3, Li Wenming, General Manager of the China–Uzbekistan Mingyuan Silk Road Free Trade Zone, visited TDD, and TDD signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Free Trade Zone.

Promoting Industrial Innovation and Belt & Road Collaboration

Governor KOMILOV stated:

“In recent years, Jizzakh Region’s economy has shown positive trends, with 1,069 industrial enterprises across building materials, mining, machinery manufacturing, light textile, and food industries. The region has broad cooperation with China in multiple sectors, attracting investment and promoting cross-border trade. This cooperation aims to leverage both parties’ industrial and resource advantages to drive rapid economic growth in Jizzakh.”

Liu Zhai, Senior VP of IBI and CEO of TDD, added:

“Digital economy is the core driver of industrial innovation. TDD, as a leading B2B e-commerce and industrial internet platform, integrates existing industrial value chains and coordinates regional resources to promote innovation across supply and industrial chains. This year, TDD has rapidly expanded its third growth curve of cross-border industrial e-commerce. Jizzakh Region’s industrial resources make it a key strategic area for TDD to deepen industrial digital economy initiatives. We hope to empower local industrial innovation and upgrading with the support and guidance of the Jizzakh regional government.”

The strategic cooperation agreement marks an important consensus between TDD and the Jizzakh government to jointly build the Silk Road Economic Belt, deepen logistics and transport infrastructure cooperation under the Belt & Road framework, and establish modern warehousing and distribution facilities for global markets, achieving high-quality, shared development.
