The reporter recently learned from the Yangpu Maritime Safety Administration that in the first 100 days of the Hainan Free Trade Port's customs closure operations, the container throughput of Yangpu Port exceeded 1.03 million TEUs, a 100% increase compared to the same period last year. Among them, foreign trade accounted for 390,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 210.3%, achieving a doubling of growth.

As the core gateway for Hainan's opening to the outside world, Yangpu Port has maintained high levels of ship traffic and cargo throughput, with a continuous scene of "large-scale inflow and outflow, fast entry and exit." To improve ship clearance efficiency, the Yangpu Maritime Safety Administration has fully implemented online approval for international navigation vessels and 24/7 customs clearance services. It has opened green channels for key livelihood and energy materials such as grain and crude oil, offering priority approval and immediate processing. Innovative measures such as acceptance with incomplete documents and parallel processing have significantly reduced the required application materials and shortened approval times.

Thanks to institutional innovations following the customs closure operations of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Yangpu's bonded oil refueling services have continued to improve in quality and efficiency. Local regulatory authorities have fully implemented a "refuel and go" service model, reducing ship application materials by over 90%. Specific ships refueling at offshore anchorages are exempted from hazardous cargo entry and exit declaration procedures, improving single-ship refueling efficiency by over 30%. An innovative pre-approval filing system has been introduced, with maritime authorities collaborating with customs, transportation, taxation, and other departments to streamline the entire regulatory service process. The inclusion of "China Yangpu Port" bonded oil refueling in Hainan Province's 2026 key task list for efficient "one-stop" handling has enhanced the sense of satisfaction for enterprises.

The robust development of the Hainan Free Trade Port has attracted the attention and investment of many foreign enterprises. In the first 100 days of customs closure operations, "China Yangpu Port" registered 15 new ships, adding a carrying capacity of 975,600 deadweight tons. The number of ships increased by 87.5% year-on-year, and total carrying capacity grew by 211.32% year-on-year. As of now, the port of registry has 88 registered ships with a total carrying capacity of 8.2326 million deadweight tons.
