Xinhua News Agency, Chengdu, April 28 (Reporter Li Qianwei) On the 28th, a China-Europe freight train fully loaded with "Made in Sichuan" products such as liquid crystal displays slowly departed from Chengdu International Railway Port, expected to reach its destination in Łódź, Poland, in as fast as 10 days.
The reporter learned that this special train carries a total of 55 standard containers, all loaded with goods produced by manufacturing enterprises within Sichuan Province. The products come from leading companies such as TCL, BOE, and Luzhou Changjiang Machinery, including optoelectronic display products, high-end precision electronic components, and equipment manufacturing products, making it an all-category "Sichuan-made export" special train.
On April 26, 2013, Sichuan officially launched the Chengdu-Europe (Łódź, Poland) "Chengdu-Europe Express Rail." Over the past 13 years, the Chengdu China-Europe freight train has operated more than 21,000 trips, connecting 135 overseas cities.
In January 2025, Chengdu was officially approved as a China-Europe freight train assembly center. Currently, the assembly center is accelerating its construction. National trade terminals for Turkey and Russia have been successfully established, and the annual container throughput of Chengdu International Railway Port has exceeded 1.2 million TEUs, with a supporting storage capacity of 3 million cubic meters. An efficient collection and distribution network system structured around a "core hub + supporting base" is being perfected.
