Through comprehensive and multi-level collaborative innovation, both sides jointly promote industrial development and inject new momentum into the joint construction of the “Digital Silk Road.”


IBI Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Government of Pakistan to Jointly Establish a New Benchmark for China-Pakistan Digital Economy Cooperation

On July 11, Mr. Ehsan Mehmood, Director General of the Economy Division of Pakistan, led a delegation to visit IBI Digital Economy Headquarters. The two sides held in-depth discussions on exploring new opportunities under the Belt and Road Initiative, cross-border digital supply chain cooperation, and empowering Pakistan’s industrial upgrading through the industrial internet.

On July 12, witnessed by Mr. Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, and Mr. Ghulam Qadir, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of Pakistan, Ms. Liu Zhai, Director and Senior Vice President of IBI, and Mr. Kashif Ali Qureshi of the Economy Division of Pakistan officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at the Embassy of Pakistan in China. The two sides will expand multi-dimensional cooperation centered on the construction of IBI Digital Economy Headquarters in Pakistan.

Liu Zhai stated that, based on the signing of this agreement, IBI will fully leverage its platform and technological advantages, combined with Pakistan’s geographical location and industrial resources, to establish IBI Digital Economy Headquarters in Pakistan. This initiative will support Pakistan’s industrial digital transformation and promote efficient coordination of China-Pakistan industrial chains under the Belt and Road framework.

Director General Ehsan Mehmood expressed his expectations for the establishment of IBI Digital Economy Headquarters in Pakistan. He noted that both sides will seize the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative and the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to jointly build a new benchmark for China-Pakistan digital economy cooperation.


Pakistan’s Minister of Transport Visits IBI to Deepen Cooperation on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

On July 3, H.E. Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister of Transport of Pakistan, along with Mr. Abdul Rahman, Director of Vision Group, visited IBI. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and cooperation in industrial digitalization.

Minister H.E. Abdul Aleem Khan noted that Pakistan is accelerating infrastructure modernization, and Vision Group has significant strengths in engineering and construction. He expressed expectations to deepen cooperation with TDD in areas such as digital procurement of building materials and cross-border supply chains.

Mr. Pan Yong, Board Secretary and Senior Vice President of IBI, stated that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative. He expressed his expectation to work with Pakistan’s Ministry of Transport and Vision Group to carry out practical cooperation in digital trade of building materials and chemicals, as well as cross-border logistics services, jointly promoting the digital transformation of regional industrial chains.


Pakistani Ambassador to China Visits IBI’s Xinjiang Headquarters to Strengthen the Foundation of China-Pakistan Industrial Collaboration

On June 28, Mr. Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, visited IBI’s Digital Economy Headquarters in Xinjiang. He emphasized that over the past decade, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has achieved breakthroughs in energy and transportation. IBI’s industrial digitalization capabilities are highly aligned with Pakistan’s needs in chemicals, building materials, and energy. He expressed hope that IBI would further leverage its platform advantages to promote deeper integration of China-Pakistan industrial chains, enhance Pakistan’s industrial capacity, and jointly build a model project for high-quality Belt and Road development.

Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI, stated that IBI hopes to deepen cooperation in agriculture, building materials, and new energy by leveraging the logistics and policy advantages of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The company aims to help Pakistani enterprises connect with Chinese supply chain resources, enhance industrial digitalization, and jointly promote regional economic integration.


Chairman of Pakistan’s Engro Group Visits IBI, Launching a New Model of China-Pakistan Smart Agriculture Cooperation

On June 27, Mr. Hussain Dawood, Chairman of Pakistan’s Engro Group, along with CEO Mr. Ahsan Zafar, COO Mr. Sikander Hazir, Chief Performance Officer Mr. Usman Hassan, and Mr. Wang Zihai, President of the Pakistan-China Chamber of Commerce, visited IBI. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on agricultural supply chain digital upgrading and cross-border e-commerce cooperation.

Chairman Hussain Dawood stated that Pakistan is rich in agricultural resources, yet supply chain efficiency urgently needs improvement. He expressed hope that this cooperation would optimize the circulation system of the local agricultural industry chain and promote deep integration and coordinated development of agricultural value chains between the two countries through cross-border e-commerce.

Liu Quan, Chairman of IBI, proposed a strategic pathway for China-Pakistan agricultural digitalization cooperation. Leveraging IBI’s core strengths in platform, technology, and data, and integrating Engro’s local resources, he emphasized introducing China’s mature digital solutions into Pakistan’s agricultural sector to jointly build a benchmark for Belt and Road agricultural digital cooperation.


Overview of Cooperation Between IBI and Pakistan

Since 2024, IBI has carried out multiple collaborations with Pakistan in the field of digital economy:

November 2024: Initiated by the Embassy of Pakistan in China and co-hosted by TDD-global of IBI, the 2024 China-Pakistan B2B Matchmaking Conference for Animal Feed, Fruit, and Vegetable Processing was successfully held in Beijing. A total of 12 MOUs and one Letter of Intent were signed, with a total value of USD 25 million, significantly promoting agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

September 2024: During the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), TDD of IBI signed a cooperation agreement with Pakistan’s WAETZASIA for wastewater treatment and digital upgrading of 200 textile factories, launching an integrated digital environmental protection solution to support industrial upgrading in Pakistan.

July 2024: During the 2024 Global Digital Economy Conference, Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI, held in-depth discussions with H.E. Shaza Fatima Khwaja, Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications of Pakistan. In the same month, IBI and Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecommunications officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, covering cross-border integrated service platforms and supply chain collaboration platforms.

March 2024: TDD of IBI participated in the Pakistan Coatings Show in Lahore and organized industry enterprises to visit Pakistan for market research in the coatings and chemical sector. Activities included joint exhibition participation, factory visits, and exchanges with associations and government agencies to jointly develop the local market.

January 2024: A Feidoodoo overseas delegation of IBI visited Pakistan, successively visiting local agricultural input enterprises such as Evyol, Auriga, NFBiotech, Sayban, Agrow Limited, and Four Brothers. Discussions focused on agricultural sustainability, international trade of agricultural inputs, and industrial digital upgrading, laying a solid foundation for cross-border e-commerce cooperation and promoting China-Pakistan agricultural collaboration.

The cooperation between IBI and Pakistan represents a vivid practice of promoting regional economic cooperation and development. Looking ahead, both sides will continue to leverage their respective strengths, expand the depth and breadth of cooperation, jointly build a more resilient cross-border industrial ecosystem, promote industrial clusters going global, and contribute more to the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
