On November 24, the "2023 China Vanadium and Titanium Forum and Strategic Seminar on Comprehensive Utilization of Vanadium and Titanium Resources" was held in Panzhihua, Sichuan Province. This event was guided by the People's Government of Panzhihua City, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and China Coatings Industry Association, hosted by the National Vanadium Titanium Industry Alliance and Sichuan Vanadium Titanium Steel Industry Association, and co-organized by TDD, Pangang Group Company, and Longbai Group. IBI Senior Vice President Liu Zhai attended and delivered a speech on the theme of "Practice and Exploration of Digital Transformation in the Vanadium and Titanium Industry."

It is reported that this forum, themed "A Strong Vanadium and Titanium Nation, Common Prosperity," aims to promote the high-quality development of China's vanadium and titanium industry, contributing to the establishment of a strategic resource guarantee base and ensuring the security of national vanadium and titanium resources and industries. Fan Jiyue, Deputy Secretary of the Panzhihua Municipal Committee and Mayor, Duan Debing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Secretary-General of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Liu Shouhui, Second-Level Inspector of the Sichuan Development and Reform Commission, Wang Jianwei, Second-Level Inspector of the Sichuan Science and Technology Department, and Zhang Bangxu, Secretary-General of the National Vanadium and Titanium Industry Alliance, delivered speeches at the conference. Over 600 experts and scholars from government units in major titanium resource production regions such as Chengde City, Liangshan Prefecture, Hami City, and Neijiang City, as well as leading enterprises in the vanadium and titanium industry chain, backbone enterprises, and universities and research institutes, attended the conference. During the meeting, 10 guests, including Academician Gan Yong of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Wang Huaming of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xia Nong, Former First-Level Inspector of the Industry Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, Liu Qunyi, Director of the Basic Mineral Strategy Research Office of the Institute of Mineral Resources, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, and the Global Mineral Resources Strategy Research Center, IBI Senior Vice President Liu Zhai, Chen Yong, General Manager of the Science and Technology Innovation Department of Pangang Group Co., Ltd., He Benliu, Chairman of Longbai Group Co., Ltd., shared their insights on the trends, opportunities, and practical experiences of the vanadium and titanium industry.

In his speech, Liu Zhai explained, "The titanium industry chain is the main industry chain for TDD's dual-line operation of titanium dioxide and titanium materials, covering the entire industry chain from titanium ores (rutile), high titanium slag, titanium tetrachloride, titanium dioxide, sponge titanium, to titanium materials." Liu Zhai emphasized, "Industrial digitization is a key driving force for industrial innovation and upgrading. IBI, based on its practice in the industrial digital economy, targets digital transactions, digital supply chains, and digital production to vigorously promote the integration of digital with real through online order integration, digital cloud warehouses, smart logistics, and digital cloud factory construction. This helps industry chain enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency while enhancing the industry’s big data assets and deeply exploring the application space of the industrial metaverse." Liu Zhai believes, "The industrial digital economy is an inevitable trend. At the conference, TDD also set up an exhibition booth to showcase the tangible realization of abstract digital content, attracting attention and exchanges from attendees across various sectors.
