On November 20, 2022, the first "Belt and Road" Supply Chain Summit, co-hosted by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, China International Electronic Commerce Center, and the Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce, was held in Kunming. IBI Senior Vice President and TDD CEO Liu Zhai was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech titled "Enabling Traditional Industries to See the Value of Digitalization."

It is reported that the summit focused on the theme of unblocking industrial and supply chains and connecting the "Belt and Road," with discussions revolving around international logistics and supply chain resource sharing and utilization in the "Belt and Road" context, digital supply chains and industrial internet, as well as building international land-sea corridors and supply chain systems aimed at South Asia and Southeast Asia. The summit aimed to enhance pragmatic cooperation, promote high-quality "Belt and Road" development, accelerate global industrial and supply chain connectivity, and improve the resilience and security level of industrial and supply chains.


Vice President of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Region of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management Cai Jin, Second-level Inspector at the Department of Circulation Development of the Ministry of Commerce Zhang Bin, Acting Consul General of the Uruguayan Consulate General in Chongqing Valentin Turris Cambaceres (online) attended the opening ceremony of the conference and gave speeches. Members of the party organization of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce, Assistant Director of the Provincial Free Trade Office Zhang Ping, and Kunming City Party Standing Committee Member and Deputy Mayor Yang Dongwei delivered thematic presentations.


The summit invited nearly 200 domestic and international central state-owned enterprises, Fortune 500 companies, and over 400 industry experts to participate in the offline meeting, with nearly 10,000 online attendees. Guest speakers included Deputy Director and Researcher of Tsinghua University's Institute of Network Behavior Yang Bin, IBI Senior Vice President and TDD CEO Liu Zhai, Chief Researcher at the China Center for International Economic Exchanges Zhang Yansheng, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Supply Chain Director Zhang Yang, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Railway Material Group Wang Hui, Executive Director and Party Secretary of State Grid Material Co., Ltd. Cai Jingdong, and Deputy Director of Xiamen Xiangyu Co., Ltd. Zhou Jingjing, who delivered speeches on site.
