On May 27, the “2024 3rd China Auto Equipment Exhibition in the UAE” officially opened at the Sharjah Exhibition Center in the UAE. With ambition and determination, IBI, in collaboration with Shandong Port Group, held the global launch ceremony of the CNAUTO Cross-Border E-Commerce Platform, witnessed by leading domestic and overseas automotive equipment industry organizations, authoritative media, and industry-leading enterprises.

The event was attended by distinguished diplomats, including Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE Sorayut Chasombat, Consul General of Ethiopia in Dubai Aklilu Kebede Erena, Ambassador of Angola to the UAE Julio Maiato, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the UAE Marie Ndjeka Opombo, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the UAE Diaby Vacaba, Consul General of Tunisia in Dubai Ilmen Houki-Bounasri, and Consul General of Grenada in Dubai Ziva Rahaman, who jointly witnessed the launch ceremony.

Wu Yi, Commercial Counselor of the Consulate General in Dubai, delivered a speech at the launch ceremony. Other distinguished guests included H.E. Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce, Yang Xue, Representative of Shandong Province for West Asia and Africa Trade and Economy, Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and Chairman of CNAUTO, and Cong Guodong, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Port Overseas Development Group. They were joined by Wang Dong, General Manager of Shandong Port West Asia International Co., Ltd., Qu Yan, President of UAE Shandong Chamber of Commerce, and Fa Wenyan, General Manager of Shandong Zhongzhan Trade Promotion, to jointly participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Zou Xiaoxue, President of CNAUTO, together with other guests, officially announced the launch of CNAUTO, marking a new journey for cross-border expansion of the automotive equipment industry. After the ceremony, attendees visited the IBI CNAUTO booth, where Zhang Wei, Platform Head, delivered an on-site presentation that received wide recognition.

The global launch of the CNAUTO Cross-Border E-Commerce Platform by IBI and Shandong Port Group represents the first step in jointly supporting Chinese enterprises’ cross-border expansion, promoting the integration and upgrading of the automotive equipment industry, and helping enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency. It is also a key move toward building a comprehensive global trading ecosystem for automotive equipment in collaboration with the entire industry chain.
