On June 15, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Industrial Chain Supply Chain Forum and the 2023 SCO International Investment and Trade Expo opened at the SCO Pearl International Expo Center in Qingdao. Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy International Trade Negotiator Ling Ji, Shandong Province Vice Governor and Secretary-General of the Provincial Government Song Junji attended the opening ceremony and delivered keynote speeches. SCO Deputy Secretary-General Yerlan Baizhanov delivered a speech, and Qingdao Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Zhao Haozhi attended. Zhang Xinzhu, member of the Standing Committee of the Qingdao Municipal Party and Secretary of the SCO Demonstration Zone Party Working Committee, presided over the opening ceremony. IBI Director and Senior Vice President Wang Ting, WDD Vice President Zhao Deyuan, and WDD Industry Development Department General Manager Li Peiyu were invited to attend this forum. The opening ceremony released the "Qingdao Initiative for the SCO Industrial Chain Supply Chain Forum," which proposed strengthening cooperation in the industrial and supply chains both within the SCO and globally, clearly voicing the "SCO stance" and proposing the "China solution."

On the afternoon of June 16, 25 projects from organizations including IBI, China Logistics Group, Zhongchu Development Co., China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, and Ctrip Group signed agreements at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Industrial Chain Supply Chain Forum and the 2023 Shanghai Cooperation Organization International Investment and Trade Expo. IBI’s industrial internet platform project and cross-border e-commerce project were signed by IBI Director and Senior Vice President Wang Ting, who attended the signing ceremony and signed on site.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Industrial Chain Supply Chain Forum is a major event announced by President Xi Jinping at the SCO Samarkand Summit in September 2022. It is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Shandong Province, and organized by the Qingdao Municipal Government and Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, under the theme "Collaborative Win-Win, Connecting a New Future for Regional Economic Cooperation." The forum consists of the main forum, the 2023 SCO International Investment and Trade Expo, parallel forums, and on-site matchmaking meetings and other supporting activities. The forum aims to establish a new platform for cooperation for local governments and enterprises of relevant SCO member countries, promoting the construction of a safe, stable, unimpeded, efficient, open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial industrial chain and supply chain system.
